Success, Career & Goals

Do you have a life motto or principle that you live by?

Face the fear & do it anyway! I know this is also a title of a book (which is amazing and I recommend reading!) I have the let fear of being judged or not being good enough stop me in the past from starting certain things in life. Our time on this planet is so precious, we are here to learn, evolve and grow. We are not here to please everyone and be perfect! Perfection is subjective anyway! I use to see fear as a negative thing but since changing my perspective, I know that feeling fear is an important part of growth. It means you are stepping into a new challenge and you’re about to evolve. Now that’s exciting!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

When you're 80 and reflecting back on your life, what does it look like? This hit me hard!

What has been the biggest accomplishment in your life so far?

Investing in myself through coaching, healers & holistic health specialists.  Facing my shadows & the darkest parts of myself it is not easy, but it’s so liberating, because you realise the only thing holding you back is you.

How do you practice self-development?

Through mindfulness. I love Journaling! I use meditation & yoga to connect to the body. To keep myself accountable, I like to habit track or check in with my coach. For growth I love to learn and see myself as a forever student of life. I regularly read & attend masterclasses, workshops & online courses.

What is the habit that has had the biggest impact on your life?

Habit tracking it helps you take responsibility & ownership of your life.

How often do you set goals and how do you go about it?

I set them yearly, then I like to break them down to 90 days, 30 days & then daily.  However lots can happen in a year so I regularly reflect on my goals & make changes where necessary. We are constantly evolving so what you wanted at the beginning or the year might change in 6 months.

What do you think is the biggest misconception about success?

Success means different things to everyone, there is no one size fits all.

How would you define what “success” means to you?

Freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want.

Lifestyle

What title would you give this chapter of your life?

The road less travelled.

What does your morning routine look like?

I wake up, make a hot beverage and drink it in bed while writing down what I am grateful for, my 3 intentions for the day and a daily affirmation. I get ready for the day then have some breakfast.

How do you manage your time and prioritise your tasks? (is there a difference between the way you manage your work and personal tasks?)

I love a list!!!! My lists are never ending so it can get really overwhelming. I focus on 3 things that need to get done today and if I manage to complete them then I add another two. This way makes things so much more manageable.

What, in your opinion, is the most important aspect of managing your finances and income?

Face your finances and don’t avoid them. Get very clear on where you are spending your money and what’s coming in. Get the basics covered and have a balance between saving and treating yourself. There is enough money in the world for everyone, understand where your money blocks are and work on that! Learn to love money! After all, it's just energy!

What advice would you give a young woman who has got her first paycheque and is new to managing her personal finances?

Enjoy it! Take ownership of your relationship with money, as they never teach you this in school. Get clear on where you want to be and use it to help you achieve more.

If you could implement one new habit overnight: what would you choose?

Go to sleep earlier. Sleep is everything.

Who do you go to if you need advice? Why do you trust them?

I journal and meditate on it! All the answers are within us, we just have to connect deeply to ourselves in order to channel the wisdom within us.  If this doesn’t work I would speak to my life coach or sister. It depends on what kind of advice I am seeking.
